New Balance Running Trails at Walt Disney World

Let’s be honest. As Walt Disney Resort guests, we already log a lot of miles; A solid 5-8 miles depending on the day! But if you’re hoping to get a training run in on your vacation, or stay in shape and run off some of those Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars, you have options!

Wherever you choose to stay on property, New Balance sponsored running trails are available to you. Check them all out below:

Walt Disney World Resort New Balance Running Trails:

Epcot & Disney’s Hollywood Studios Resort area:
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn & Villas, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort & Villas: this is perhaps my favorite running loop in all of Disney! The loop around Crescent lake to each of the resorts and over the bridges is just under a mile. I got up really early one morning and did about 3 1/2 loops to fit in a Princess Half Training Run! Just be careful of the Boardwalk – it can get pretty slippery.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has a .6 mile course with views of Barefoot Bay.

Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotels: join the fun on Crescent Lake! And there are other longer distances courses available too (though are likely more wooded areas). If the walking paths are open, you can also make your way to Hollywood Studios and back for stunning views of the Hollywood Tower Hotel.

Disney’s Magic Kingdom Resort area:
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Polynesian Village: Run from one resort to the other alongside the Seven Seas Lagoon and check out views of Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Contemporary Resort from a distance. Bonus: you run past Disney’s Wedding Pavilion too, so you may see a wedding taking place! This down and back route is just about 2 miles.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort: There is a great course that circles Bay Lake Tower and the South Garden Wing, for a little under one mile. Gotta get that last .10 in somehow!

Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground: Depending on your running appetite, there is a 2.5 mile course through Resort grounds, and a .75 mile bike path that connects the two resort areas.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort area:
Disney’s All-Star Movies, Music & Sports Resorts: A 1 mile trail connects all three hotels. Get the grand tour!

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort: There is a .75 loop around the lovely Lago Dorado and additional trails through the Ranchos and Cabanas area.

Disney Springs & Disney’s Wide World of Sports area:

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside & Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter: This course weaves along the Sassagoula River on a 1.7-mile promenade connecting the Riverside and French Quarter Resort areas.
BETTER YET: Catch the “Beignet Dash” Fun Run every Sunday! Check in at 7:30 a.m. on the Riverwalk between Building 5 and Doubloon Lagoon pool (how cute is that name) for an 8:00am race. Cost is $15 for an untimed 1.5 mile run, and you get three beignets and a “medal”!

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa: Run a 1.44 mile or 0.8 mile trail loop around the Resort and grounds of Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Gold Course.
Much like the Beignet Dash: There’s a Saratoga Springs Derby Dash at 8am! $15 for a fun run around the resort, bib and medal. Check with the resort front desk for dates and locations.

Disney’s Old Key West Resort: Run this 1.37 mile course beginning at Conch Flats along the canal and grounds of Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort: Run around Hourglass Lake for a 1.1-mile or 1.38-mile loop.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort: Like Pop Century, jog the 1.38-mile trail and run around the different movie themed courtyards!

As you can see, there are plenty of trails and areas of the resorts to explore.

Happy running!
