Know Before You Go: How to Pack for your Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend!

The countdown has officially begun! In just 7 days, the 2017 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend will begin and with it, the runDisney race calendar 2017-2018! Runners from all over the globe will be flying in for the Pixar-themed race weekend. Is this your first runDisney race? First half marathon or 10K? Congratulations! Your training has paved the way for an exciting, fulfilling celebration. But what to pack!? 

According to the extended forecast, we’re looking at sunny, mid-80s (classic, southern California weather!). Shorts and t-shirts, right? But wait! You will be lining up in your corrals for a 5:00AM start! You may get chilled! Here’s my “don’t forget” list of items to keep in mind when you’re packing:

I hope everyone is having a great late-August. I spent the weekend at our family’s lake house and had a sunny, relaxing weekend. I’m attempting to soak up every last bit of summer!

Can you believe the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend is NEXT WEEK!? I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the runDisney 2017-2018 calendar to begin! Also happening next week is the opening of Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival and the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the season! You’ve been training hard all summer and you’ve likely already booked your accommodations, flights, and dining reservations. The 60 day FP+ date will be here before you know it and after that it won’t be long until you are in Walt Disney World Resort!

I ran the 2016 Wine & Dine Half Marathon last year and had a blast. Whether this is your first Wine & Dine weekend or your eighth, you are bound to have a fun, festive race and celebratory post-race party!

Hello again, fellow WRFD readers,

I can’t believe the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend is only 3 weeks away! I’ve had a countdown on my phone since the days remaining were in the triple digits — and finally, we’re in the home stretch!

In this post, I’m going to talk about some of the things my husband Jake and I have on our to-do list at Disneyland (and beyond)…
