runDisney Production Time Lapse Video
I love runDisney races for so many reasons. If you’re here reading this, I’m sure you agree. Everything is super organized, well thought out, and has been prepared with the utmost care. As a former events planner, I can appreciate just how much time and labor goes into the herculean effort of organizing a race weekend. Particularly one in WDW where road closures, park openings, and special event times can be tricky. The run-of-show must be minute to minute, even second to second!
Hundreds of thousands of participants, spectators, and volunteers flood WDW for race weekends. And that’s not even including all the other folks in WDW enjoying their vacations! It takes hundreds of man hours to properly plan and execute these magical race weekends we love so much.
runDisney shared the following time-lapsed video, offering a glimpse into just how much time it takes to set-up PART of a race course. Watch the video here:
Can you believe it? Behind the Disney magic are the cast members working through the night to create unforgettable moments for us runners. I have a deeper appreciation for the runDisney team and just how much goes into these magical race weekends.
