Hope you are having a nice Columbus Day weekend! I had the day off today, which was much needed. After my half marathon race yesterday, I’m resting and recovering. Congratulations to all who participated in other non-runDisney races this weekend, including the Chicago Marathon! In runDisney news, not much has changed since last week. Here’s what you may have missed:
USATF Certified – Fall Feast 5K
The Fall Feast 5K course begins and ends at Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s parking lots and through the entirety of the park – including Pandora- World of Avatar! I’m sure there will be some great photo opportunities by the floating mountains! Running through DAK before/during sunrise is amazing! I’m excited to see how everyone enjoys the change to this year’s race theme, from Christmas to “Fall Feast.”
USATF Certified – Wine & Dine 10K
This year’s Wine & Dine 10K will begin in the Magic Kingdom parking lots, through World Drive, and onto Disney’s Hollywood Studios (missing from last year!), past Tower of Terror and Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard and through the main gate, through the Epcot-Hollywood Studios connector (it can get pretty congested here- be careful!), past Disney’s Boardwalk Inn & Villas (skipping Yacht and Beach), and up through the International Gateway (no World Showcase), past the Fountain of Nations through Future World and out the gate to the finish!
USATF Certified – Wine & Dine Half Marathon
This year’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon is a huge departure from last year. With the construction going on, we missed Disney’s Hollywood Studios last year! I’m happy to say based on this course map, we’re back in business: beginning in the Magic Kingdom parking lots (last year was Disney’s Wide World of Sports!), down Bear Island Rd to Disney’s Animal Kingdom through Pandora- World of Avatar (!!) and Dinoland, out the parking lots via Osceola Parkway to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, past Tower of Terror, Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard, out the main gate onto the Studios-Epcot Connector, past BoardWalk and Yacht & Beach around Crescent Lake to the International Gateway and around World Showcase, up through Future World and out the gates to the finish! Looks awesome!
The Half Marathon and Kids Races are still available. For tips on how to have the best Wine & Dine race weekend, check out my latest post!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week’s recap on Monday. As always, #willrunfordisney !
*Please note: if you really want to participate in a race and it is no longer available on runDisney, check your local travel agent as runDisney provides entries to them in an effort to boost their businesses. Bibs will have to come with a ticket and lodging package. You may also consider running the race on behalf of a charity. All charity runners are expected to fundraise. Check the charity listing on each race for more information.
