Boston Marathon Weekend: 10 Things to do in Boston

Heading to Boston for Patriot’s Day Weekend? We’re less than two weeks away! I’m bringing back my list from last year, the Top 10 Things to do during the Boston Marathon Weekend! Here goes…

March Intentions

Hey friends! I’m going to start to write an “Intentions” post for the start of each month in an effort to hold myself accountable, show you what I’ll be up to, and have you get to know me a little bit more. Here goes! :

I’m running the 2018 Chicago Marathon!

Something in me told me to apply for the 2018 Chicago Marathon. I haven’t even completed/attempted my first marathon, and yet I was drawn to the idea that Chicago would be my next big race. I know what you’re thinking right now, “You’re Will Run for Disney! Not Will Run for Chicago!” Well, with Disneyland races on hiatus, and my 2018 plans to consider a coast-to-coast put aside, I wanted to check an Abbott World Major marathon off my list.

‘Tis the Season for the “Turkey Trot”!

As excited as I am about the upcoming Christmas season, we can’t forget about Thanksgiving! November is a time of gratitude, reflection, and celebration with no presents and “less pressure!” (Someday when I’m in charge of the Thanksgiving feast I’m sure I’ll laugh at that last statement.)

It’s also the perfect time to consider signing up for a Turkey Trot, or if the race is sold out, an early December race! If you missed out, Runner’s World curated a state by state guide to Turkey Trots across America.

WDW Marathon Training : Weekly Update

From now until WDW Marathon weekend, I’d like to create a weekly training update post for a few reasons:

  1. Show my readers what training for your first full marathon looks like
  2. Use this weekly update as another way to hold myself accountable
  3. Track my progress as a way to look back on my accomplishments post-race! 🙂

I plan on being as honest as possible about the ups and downs of a training season, and what it takes to physically and mentally prepare yourself for a marathon (or try at least!) So to start…
